Dr. Edgaras Leichteris is a CEO of the Lithuanian robotics association. Mr. Leichteris has more than 10 years of experience in public policy field, 7 years experience in working with cluster policies as well as in facilitation of clustering debates between business and research institutions. Edgaras is also an expert in foresight activities and technology assessment. He is contributing as an expert to the work of Lithuanian Innovation Center, Knowledge Economy Forum and Science, technology and innovation agency. During the preparation of Lithuanian Smart Specialization Strategy, Mr. Leichteris was facilitating debates on Lithuanian investment priorities and currently is a member of S3 coordination and monitoring group. His research interests include technology assessment (impact of technologies on societies), collective intelligence and efficiency of national innovation systems.
Lithuanian Robotics Association was founded by key robotic companies in search for joint business opportunities and in order to develop the robotics industry in Lithuania. The Association seeks to expand the robotic business in Lithuania by making Lithuanian robotic sector known to the international players. Lithuanian Robotics Association also works on creation of strong local partnerships in order to stimulate business cooperation across the whole value chain, and seeks to address policy challenges that restrict from pursuing robotics growth potential. As part of those activities, the Association coordinates the creation of Digital Innovation Hub for Robotics in Lithuania.
