Currently, he is Director of Industry and Trade Department at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania. His main fields of work: competitiveness of industry, internal trade policy, small and medium sized companies (SMEs), metrology and standardization.
As regards to industrial competitiveness he is one of the persons who was drafting the National Investment Promotion and Industrial Development Programme for 2014-2020. He also has the experience in implementation of EC legislations in technical harmonization fields such as toys, textile, aerosol, foot ware.
In 2013 during Lithuanian presidency he was involved in Presidency’s team as an expert and contributed to the drafting of the Council conclusions on European Industry Policy (2013).
As regards education, in 2005 he graduated from Kaunas Technology University with master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. After graduation, he gained the experience as environmental specialist in the textile company and further as a chief official in Environmental Protection Agency.
Industry and trade department are responsible for the industry, internal trade and SMEs policy. Department works on creating legal framework on industrial competitiveness. One of the main strategic documents are in 2014 adopted Investment promotion and industry development programme 2014-2020, also this year one of the strategic work is establishing National industry 4.0 platform.
